Little things are worth Big thoughts

You can do so much when you start small

Little things are worth Big thoughts

Last week I was a bit behind for leaving for work and when I came up to the main road to merge there were *so* many more vehicles than usual.

Most days I’ll drive out and right onto the road but that day it was a waiting game.

Sitting there I realized that I was about 5–10 minutes later than my usual time and it felt almost like in passing I thought to myself, “well I guess a few minutes can make a big difference”.

It wasn’t until I was on the road towards work that I thought again how big that little statement and reality really was.

Just a few minutes for when you leave for a drive or a small workout maybe, 5 minutes of meditation even…these things can make big differences in your life.

Whether they show up as big things quickly or take longer to build will really depend on what you’re doing and maybe even who you are.

If you’re losing weight often pounds at the beginning can slip away and then later slow down.

If you’re meditating you might find calm in that first week or month of time but later hit a bump where your mind seems to be endlessly filled with useless thoughts getting in the way of your calm.

If you’re learning a new skill like a language it may take a lot of upfront time to get the basics down and later, once you’ve gotten those core pieces of the language, other parts may come easier as you learn to put together a sentence or how usually a noun in Spanish that ends in an ‘a’ will be feminine.

These little things are worth so much when you start looking at what they can grow into.

I am personally aiming to take more mind of these in my own life and I urge you to do the same.

Is there something small that you started and has grown for you? A habit that has made huge impacts in your life over time?

These little things are truly worth big thoughts.
