There is More to Life as a Single Woman
From one newly self proclaimed single friend to another.
On the app that starts with an “i,” I follow someone.
She often opens her videos with a note on being a single girly and how she spends her time as such as everyone around her is getting married and having babies.
I’ve been single for fouryears now.
And although I am often, technically, the single friend. I am feeling more and more like a party of one.
Many of my friends are already married, already have kids or are on their way to one or both.
Three engagements in my core group just in the past two months.
It’s just hitting me, I’ve decided to self proclaim as the single friend going forward.
But in the same breath? I want to shout out to the masses of other women feeling like me that there is still so much to life. Beyond being that “single friend” or sister or cousin.
Life is big and it can be both hard and beautiful at the same time.
There are experiences waiting for you. People you have not met. Places you have not yet seen.
There is more.

Wherever you’re reading this from — your desk, your couch, your car — please take a moment and consider the simple truth that there is more.
Even if you cannot see it at this moment. Belief is a wonderful first step in finding it.
Hope does more than our brains can fathom when we do not let it in.
Let the hope in and take hold of the knowledge that there is more as you are right now.
From one single woman to another, there is so much more in this world for you if you want it.
